With noise emissions worldwide becoming more strict and the general public expressing increased criticism, Vandemon developed a variable Valved Slip-On muffler that eliminates the heavy OEM catalytic converter and steel mufflers and uses the OEM Triumph headers. Apart from a significant weight saving, this exhaust is unique because the operator can choose from two exhaust tones, Quiet or Loud, at the press of a button on the handlebars.

  How Does It Work?  

The system consists of two mufflers and a purpose-made titanium valve that, when closed, directs all exhaust first through the baffled Pre-muffler, which looks like a catalytic converter (that is no longer used) seen under the motorcycle and then lastly exits through the larger straight-through unrestricted LH muffler to give an exhaust tone as quiet as the OEM muffler. When the valve is switched to the open position via the handlebar-mounted switch, the exhaust will exit via the path of least resistance, which is the larger final muffler that has no exhaust restriction, releasing that glorious Triumph triple sound.

The servo motor that drives the valve is a quality German-made BMW component that is weatherproof, heat-insulated, and very reliable. Power is supplied to the servo valve via a custom wiring harness that patches into the OEM triumph Auxillary power supply. 

• When tuning the Stealth exhaust, the technician will customise the tune to the valve open (loud mode). 

  The main purpose of this exhaust is to allow the rider to quieten it so as not to disturb the general public and to go unnoticed when necessary. Additionally, the rider has the option of a louder and more powerful exhaust while riding on open roads or where it is permissible.

Appearance:

The surface finish is natural brushed titanium, which won't stain, corrode, or need polishing. Titanium is very resistant to acid and salt and dissipates heat twice as fast as steel.
