Agency power cold air intake kit mini cooper 1.5l | cooper s 2.0l 2014-2022

The third generation MINI Cooper and Cooper S are longer, wider and taller but still can use a little help in the performance, which is why Agency Power developed a new Cold Air Intake. Both the 1.5L and 2.0L turbo engines are efficient but adding the Agency Power Cold Air Intake will help bring in that added air needed to get more power. The air intake replaces the factory air box with a new high flow reusable cone filter, powder coated heat shield and roto-molded tubing. This system retains the factory air scoop to direct air flow onto the larger surface area of the Nano Tech cone filter. Agency Power had a 7 horsepower gain with the 1.5L 3 Cyl. on the dyno.

The cold air intake 3 inch tubing is made from rotor molded XLPE plastic construction with mass air flow mount molded into the lightweight tube for factory fit, and finish. The intake tube mounts to the factory air inlet hose which leads to the turbo charger. The aluminum black powder coated heat shield helps keep the air forced in from the front of the Cooper directly on to the filter with cut outs to allow air to flow through. Used as a barrier between the engine and the filter, the AP finned cut heat shield can also help reduce temperatures. As the turbo system is intercooled, placement of the air filter is not as important as the volume acquired.

Each kit utilizes a high flow cone air filter to not only breathe better than factory, but is reusable for the life of the vehicle. This high flow cylindrical air filter features a much improved flow rate over stock and designed to catch more particles compared to a paper mesh design. The filter features a vented end cap for ultimate air suction. Additionally the Agency Power filters utilize an oil free design for easy maintenance.
